We Build For Racers Across The Border

A meaningful part of our slipper clutch and race transmission work comes from Canadian teams — hill climb, sled pull, and over-the-road customers who ship their components to our shop or arrange a drop-off. Cross-border shipping adds a few extra steps compared to a domestic build, and this page walks through what to expect at each one.

This page is general guidance for planning your shipment and build, not customs, tax, or legal advice. Every shipment is different, and cross-border requirements can change. Please confirm current documentation, duty, and tax requirements with a licensed customs broker or the relevant government agency before shipping.

Our Request-Review Process

We review every Canadian build request before a single part gets shipped, so there are no surprises on either side of the border.

01

Submit Your Request

Fill out the quote form below with your truck, transmission or clutch details, and what you're trying to accomplish.

02

We Review & Call

Jimmy or a team member reviews your request and calls or emails to confirm scope, parts, and rough pricing.

03

Confirm Shipping Plan

We confirm whether you'll ship the component or drop it off, and walk through documentation together.

04

Approved To Ship

Once everything is confirmed, we give you the green light and shop address to send your build our way.

Shipping vs. Customer Drop-Off

Documentation We May Ask For

Exact documentation needs vary by shipment and by what’s happening at the border, but these are commonly involved.

Sending A Component Back

If your build involves a core return — sending your original housing, gears, or clutch components back to you, or returning a core as part of an exchange — we’ll confirm the process during your quote review, before anything ships.

Return shipments are packaged the same way components arrive: drained, cleaned, and boxed to prevent damage in transit. We’ll confirm your preferred carrier and provide tracking information once your return ships.

Estimated Timeline Process

Cross-border shipping adds transit time on both ends of a build, so we build that into your estimated schedule from the start rather than surprising you later.

Customs Disclaimer: We are not a customs broker and this page does not constitute customs, tax, or legal advice. Duties, taxes, and documentation requirements are determined by government agencies and can change. All customs-related paperwork and declarations for your shipment should be confirmed with a licensed customs broker or the appropriate customs authority. We do not advise misrepresenting the nature of a shipment or transaction for customs purposes, and we do not promise duty-free or tax-free treatment for any shipment.

Contact Us Before Shipping: Please reach out and get confirmation from our shop before you ship any component to us. This lets us confirm we’re expecting your package, review documentation together, and avoid delays or shipments we aren’t prepared to receive.

Every custom transmission begins with understanding your truck, racing application, and performance goals. Send us your current transmission, rear gear ratio, tire diameter, loaded or bobtail configuration, and the result you want to achieve. We’ll review your combination and contact you to discuss the right direction for your build.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept transmissions and clutches shipped from Canada?
Yes. We accept heavy-duty transmissions and slipper clutches from Canadian racers and owner-operators. Contact us before shipping so we can confirm the service, packing requirements, carrier arrangements, customs documents, and estimated timeline.
What documentation should I include with my shipment?
Include your full name, phone number, email address, return address, quote or work-order number, component identification, requested service, and a description of the problem. Your carrier may also require a commercial or pro forma invoice and customs declaration. We will confirm the required shipment description and supporting information before you send anything.
Do you handle customs paperwork for me?
We provide the shop-side information and documents needed from us, but your carrier or customs broker normally handles the customs entry. You are responsible for supplying accurate shipment information and completing any customer-side forms. Contact us before shipping so both the outbound and return procedures are clear.
What currency do you invoice in?
Unless otherwise confirmed in writing, quotes and invoices are issued in U.S. dollars. Currency conversion rates and international payment fees are determined by your bank, credit-card provider, or payment service.
Am I responsible for duties and taxes?
Yes. The customer is responsible for applicable duties, taxes, brokerage fees, customs charges, and carrier costs unless they are specifically included in the written quote. Repaired or returned components may receive different customs treatment depending on their classification and documentation, so confirm the details with your carrier or customs broker.
Can I drop off my component in person instead of shipping?
Yes, in-person drop-off may be arranged by appointment. Contact us before traveling so we can confirm availability, receiving instructions, required documents, and what information should accompany your component. Crossing the border in person may still involve customs requirements.
